Harvest of the Sea
Fr Conor Kelly & Dean Paul Draper will lead the Harvest of the Sea Thanksgiving service at Saint
Mary’s Church of Ireland, Dungarvan on Sunday 15th October at 7pm. The public are welcome to
attend this special service, which will include recognition of the work of the RNLI lifeboats in the
area. The service will include hymns and readings, and the collection will be for the RNLI.
Annual Flag Day
RNLI Helvick will be holding their annual Flag Day collection in Dungarvan town this coming
Saturday, 7th October. There will also be church gate collections on Saturday the 7th, and Sunday the
8th.
“The local area has always been incredibly supportive of the local RNLI,” said Kevin O’Morchoe hon Chairman of the RNLI Helvick Fundraising Committee. “The many years of support that they have provided to the local lifeboat is exceptional, and we look forward to seeing everyone and thanking them in-person”.
RNLI Helvick Raffle
The raffle for the recently cancelled Helvick Swim is still ongoing. The draw has been rescheduled to
the 1st of December at Dungarvan Shopping Centre at 3pm, where there will also be a stall for
clothing and souvenirs during the day. Raffle tickets cost €3 each or 2 for €5, and can be purchased from Dierdre at Spar An Rinne, or by contacting one of the following committee members: Anne (087 970 4830), and Andrew (085 146 6889). Prizes for the raffle include a one night mid week B&B for 2 people at the Cliff House Hotel, a €200 voucher for The Old Bank, Jimmy Choo Sunglasses sponsored by I Eye Opticians, 4 Ball and Carvery at the Gold Coast Resort, 1 night’s Midweek Glamping at Nire Valley Glamping, €100 Gift Voucher from Forde’s Daybreak, and a Double Seaweed Bath at Sólás na Mara.
