Annual Flag Day
RNLI Helvick will be holding their annual Flag Day collection in Dungarvan town this coming Saturday, 5th of October. Volunteers will be present at Shalloe’s corner, Meade’s, Eurospar in Abbeyside, and the Dungarvan Shopping Centre from 10m to 5pm. There will also be church gate collections on Saturday evening and Sunday the 6th.
Tried & Tested Aquathon RNLI Fundraiser
RNLI Helvick would like to thank the Tried & Tested Triathlon Club for raising €1,250 for the RNLI at their Aquathlon & BBQ event in September. Approximately 60 swimmers took part in the social fundraiser event at Clonea. More information can be found on the Tried & Tested facebook page (facebook.com/TriedTestedDungarvan).
Bridgie Terrie’s Card Group
In the last week of August Tina Fitzgerald and Fr Cooney of the Bridgie Terries Card Group presented RNLI Helvick’s Nicky Hannigan with €842 donation, proceeds from their ongoing fundraising efforts.
“The local clubs have always been very supportive of the lifeboat station here in Helvick, we are so very grateful for their vital contributions towards the lifesaving work that we do here”, said Seamus Kiersey, hon Secretary of the RNLI Helvick Fundraising Committee.
